He explained some of the benefits of a regular Qigong practice as well as describing what is qi, how to access your internal operating system to improve your health. Michael Winn also explained some of the Taoist theory that supports and explains the benefits of practicing Qigong. In addition he explained the wonderfully simple and effective technique of the inner smile as a meditative technique.

Michael has studied over 60 systems of Qigong, and has over
33 years of experience. He has received initiations from the Dalai Lama, and
has edited B.K.Francis’s book “Opening the Energy Gates of the Body He has been
to China dozens of times studying Medical Qigong forms in Beijing, and also
pioneered bringing groups of westerners to study in the cave temples at Hua
shan mountain. He has studied with various masters all over the globe in order
to better fulfill his mission of integrating Taoist internal alchemy
(neidangong), Qigong, shengong, shamanism, depth psychology and Western
alchemical paths. He has fused their essence and methods so that their
transformational power can become accessible to all who are ready to travel on
the highest and quickest path of energetic healing. This is the way of
cultivating both the personal and holy body Nature, the Divine Feminine. It is
equally accessible to both men and women.
He completed three years of Chinese medicine training with Jeffrey Yuen; and he has authored dozens of articles, including the chapter on Medical Qigong for “The Physicians Guide to Alternative and Complementary Medicine He wrote 7 best-selling books with Mantak Chia, authored 9 Tao Inner Alchemy home study courses, taught over 100 weeklong alchemy retreats, led 15 China Dream Trips, and hosts annually (18 years) the West’s largest Taoist summer retreat program near Asheville, North Carolina (June 21 – July 22). Michael Winn will be appearing on the Holistic Healing with Herbs and Chinese Medicine show with Andres Vergara and Michele Collins on Voice America’s Radio Network.

Michele and Andres are both very passionate about the practice of Chinese medicine and qi gong. They have studied and practiced Chinese medicine for a combined total of over eighteen years. In 2011, they spent six months studying Chinese herbal medicine in a university hospital setting that emphasized the practice of integrated Chinese herbal and allopathic medicine. He is currently licensed to practice in North Carolina, but has practiced in both North Carolina and Maryland.
